Just how big of an entrance does Welling plan to make? Ain't It Cool News reports that Welling might arrive in a blue, red and cape-less Superman costume to be donned by Smallville's Clark for the first time this season. Reps for the CW and Smallville producer Warner Bros. Television did not immediately respond to TVGuide.com's request for comment on the report.

This much is certain, however: On Sunday morning at 10:30 PT, Welling — who is now a coexecutive producer on the CW series — will join show runners Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson, as well as castmates Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Cassidy Freeman, Justin Hartley and Callum Blue (aka "Zod"), at the panel session.

The Smallville session will treat fans to exclusive clips from Season 9, which premieres Friday, Sept. 25, and feature an audience Q&A about what lies ahead. Comic-book writer and onetime Smallville scribe Jeph Loeb will moderate the panel.
