The Hunger Games: Catching Fire received seven nominations, while the comedy We're the Millers received six.
12 Years a Slave, which won Best Picture at Sunday's Oscars, received four nominations, as did Anchorman 2, Dallas Buyers Club, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and This Is the End.
Conan O'Brien will host the awards, which will be broadcast live on Sunday, April 13 at 9/8c on MTV.
