The project is an irreverent look at parenthood from the perspectives of an acerbic working mother (Applegate), her stay-at-home husband and her outspoken parents. The 38-year-old Saturday Night Livealum will play the best friend and co-worker of Applegate's character.

Parks and Recreation writer Emily Spivey wrote the pilot and will produce with SNL's Lorne Michaels.
In addition to SNL, Rudolph has appeared in MacGruber, Grownups and A Prairie Home Companion. The actress, who recently announced she was pregnant with her third child, will next be seen in Bridesmaids.
