Keri Russell has landed the leading role in FX's The Americans pilot from Justified showrunner Graham Yost.
The series, executive-produced by Yost and created by Falling Skies' Joe Weisberg, follows two KGB spies, Phillip and Elizabeth Jennings (Russell), who pose as Americans in suburban Washington D.C. in the '80s. Their arranged marriage begins to evolve into something more real, compromising their mission during the Cold War. Gavin O'Connor (Warrior) is directing the pilot.
FX Orders KGB Spy Drama from Justified Showrunner
Russell is the fourth major Felicity alum to land a role in a pilot this season. Scott Speedman will star in ABC's Last Resort, Scott Foley recently joined Fox's The Goodwin Games and Greg Grunberg has signed onto CBS' untitled Greg Berlanti/Greg Malins comedy.
Since her days on Felicity, Russell co-starred in Mission: Impossible III and the film Waitress. Her other TV credits include Scrubsand Fox's short-lived comedy Running Wilde.
