A Community Movie Might Really Happen — And Soon!

Community wrapped up its sixth season last week, prompting fans to ask whether the latter half of the pre-destined #sixseasonsandamovie will actually come to fruition. During a panel at the ATX Festival on Saturday, creator Dan Harmon shared some good news (and some bad news) regarding the future of the cult hit.

"I told Yahoo, 'I can't think about writing a movie until I miss Community," Harmon said. "They wanted to turn around a do a movie immediately, and Yahoo can get it done. They're like the NSA."

Unfortunately, while Yahoo is pushing for the movie ASAP, there is another big hitch in the plan. With all the cast members pursuing other projects - including star Joel McHale's gig on the upcoming X-Files revival - "the difficulty is in just: Can you get all the actors in the same place again?"
