The show is a pure delight
Let it be known that Happy Together is a low-key delight. Inspired by that time Harry Styles shacked up in a music producer's attic for over a year, the series follows the amusing antics of mega pop star Cooper (Felix Mallard) who, in an effort to escape the chaotic celebrity life, moves in with suburban couple Jake (Damon Wayans Jr.) and Claire (Amber Stevens West) for a spell. The feel-good show wraps its inaugural run on Monday, and TV Guide has your exclusive first look at what's in store.
A charming sneak peek at the season finale finds Claire worried about being a boring suburbanite after the pair turned down an exciting invitation to mingle with celebrities. "Last night, we got invited to a concert by the biggest pop star in music and instead, we stayed home and ranked the months of the year," she says in the video.

To be fair, making the effort to dress up and venture outside feels like a herculean task these days, so their decision to chill at home is pretty relatable. Still, Jake agrees that they should be more receptive to new adventures, and that revelation couldn't come at a better time. Cooper invites them to his private concert, which is the perfect opportunity to prove that they're totally hip and not the crotchety aging millennials they've been coming across as. But they may end up regretting that decision; according to the episode's description, they're in for a "wild" night.
Watch the charming hijinks in the above video and check out Happy Together's season finale, which airs Monday, Jan. 14 at 8:30 pm on CBS.
