This classical release finds the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition winner, Nobuyuki Tsujii, performing a live set at the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York City. One of the most remarkable aspects of Tsujii is his blindness - an inspiration to those who must surmount physical handicaps and other obstacles on a daily basis. The set includes pieces by Mussorgsky (Pictures at an Exhibition), Fryderyk Chopin (Prelude in D flat major, Op. 28 No. 15) ,Beethoven (Piano Sonata No. 17 in D minor, Op. 31 No. 2 'The Tempest') and several others.
The compilation release Waylon Jennings: Nashville Rebel - not to be confused with the 1966 feature Nashville Rebel, also starring Jennings - presents a compilation of rare appearances by the titular superstar of outlaw country, largely taken from television broadcasts and a few live sets. Highlights include a series of performances culled from Jennings's 1974 appearance on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, and a performance of "Only Daddy That'll Walk The Line," which originally aired on The Johnny Cash Show in 1970. As an added bonus, the release includes three music videos by Waylon and television commercials for the albums Waylon's Greatest Hits (1979) and Wanted! The Outlaws (1976).
