The list of possible paramours is reduced each week until he gives a final red rose to one of them. The series spun off `The Bachelorette', a spate of rip-offs and very few lasting pairings.

Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas – with her newly betrothed love Jesse Csincsak by her side – proclaimed that her second choice, Jason Mesnick, will make the "perfect catch."Pappas and Csincsak told the Yo on E! radio show that the new Bachelor would make a wonderful mate.
