All the Best Super Bowl Commercials of 2018

Who do you think stole the show?

Most of the time when you're online or watching TV you want to avoid commercials as much as you can. They're an intrusion and they bury themselves in your mind through sheer force of repetition. But during the Super Bowl, something funny happens: you want to watch the commercials. They're new. They have not yet worn out their welcome. Some of them are even entertaining! They have famous people getting paid the GDP of Idaho to do something silly for a few seconds.

So here are the best -- or at least the weirdest/most memorable -- commercials of the 2018 Super Bowl season.

Doritos/Mountain Dew - "Doritos Blaze vs. Mountain Dew Ice"

It's a song of ice and fire like Game of Thrones, get it? There's a lot going on here. But it's kind of surprising it's taken this long for Doritos and Mountain Dew to do a commercial together, since they go together like Xbox and Mom's basement.

HBO - "Westworld Season 2"

I never would have thought to put Westworld and Kanye West together, but it works! Westworld Season 2 premieres April 22.

NFL - "Touchdown Celebrations to Come"

Not only was this the best commercial of the night, this Dirty Dancing spoof starring the New York Giants' Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. was the best moment of the Giants' whole misbegotten season.

Amazon - "Alexa Loses Her Voice"

Do you think Jeff Bezos, Amazon CEO and richest person in the history of the world, paid himself to be in this commercial? Do you think everyone working on this commercial thought putting Jeff Bezos in was a bad idea but no one told him no because he's the richest person in the history of the world?

Justin Timberlake Paid Tribute to Prince During his Super Bowl Halftime Show

M&Ms - "Human"

This makes me want to watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where Danny DeVito is really free to be Frank Reynolds, which is the persona he's riffing on here.

PETA - "Redemption"

James Cromwell plays a priest who refuses to forgive a meat industry executive. James Cromwell went to jail for protesting at the site of a planned power plant and has been arrested on behalf of PETA numerous times. James Cromwell is legit.

Skittles - "Sandwich"

Skittles is doing something weird with its Super Bowl ad. My friend Kristina can explain it to you better than I can. I wonder if David Schwimmer is actually this sad in real life.

Pringles - "WOW"

Honestly, needs more Bill Hader.

Groupon - "Who Wouldn't"

Tiffany Haddish's story about using a Groupon to take Will and Jada Pinkett Smith on a swamp tour was so good that now she's being paid to promote Groupon. That's what French Montana would call a "fanute."

Lexus - "Black Panther"

Step into the spot like WOO!

Avengers: Infinity War - "Big Game Spot"

Black Panther can also be seen in this commercial for the next Marvel team-up, which is coming this summer.

Dodge's Martin Luther King Jr. Commercial is the Kendall Jenner/Pepsi Ad of 2018

Tide - "It's a Tide Ad"

Sorry, Tide, but Chief Hopper won't save you from the definitive meme of early 2018. If you really wanted to break the internet, you would make a PSA warning people not to eat Tide Pods.

Febreze - "The Only Man Whose Bleep Don't Stink"

If you like toilet humor (literally), this one is definitely for you.

Hulu - "Castle Rock"

This spooky spot for Hulu's upcoming Stephen King-inspired/J.J. Abrams-produced series is very intriguing. If you'd like to know more about Castle Rock, click here.

E-Trade - "This Is Getting Old"

Millennials might get the blame for everything in modern headlines, but there's something to be said about how long it's taking prior generations to make room in the workplace. E-Trade thinks the lack of savings is to blame for everything and wants to show off all the 85+-year-old workers who "wanna go home," like DJ Nana and the fireman who's lost control of his hose (totally a metaphor, right?).

Quicken Loans' Rocket Mortgage - "untitled"

Key & Peele star Keegan-Michael Key tries to put a stop to random incidences of jargony, slangy explanations and tell people what's really happening with an assist from rapper Big Sean.

Tourism Australia - "Dundee"

Danny McBride's fake Crocodile Dundeereboot trailer, which had been circulating the interwebs for weeks, was the ultimate in TV commercial trolling.

Solo: A Star Wars Story - "Big Game Spot"

This Super Bowl teaser for the upcoming Han Solo movie was just an appetizer for the full trailer, which came out Monday morning.

The Cloverfield Paradox teaser

Netflix surprise-released a new Cloverfield movie after the game like it was a Beyoncé album. But apparently Lemonade it's not.

Diet Coke Twisted Mango - "Groove"

Was this supposed to make me uncomfortable? Because I'm uncomfortable.
