TV Land Renews The Soul Man for Season 4

TV Land comedy The Soul Man has been renewed for a fourth season, the network announced on Monday.

The comedy, which has been picked up for 12 episodes, has averaged 1.2 million viewers over the first three seasons.

"We are thrilled to bring back Cedric, Niecy and The Soul Man for another season," TV Land President Larry W. Jones said in a statement. "TV Land has loved working with this cast and crew who come together each week and create one of the funniest half-hours on TV."

A spin-off of the network's Hot in Cleveland, the series stars Cedric the Entertainer as a music superstar-turned-minister who moves his family, including his wife Lolli (Niecy Nash), to St. Louis.
