Scarlett Johansson will reprise her Avengers role for Captain America 3. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo confirmed the news during an interview in China.

"We've been preparing for the movie since the one debuted last year," Anthony said. "So, we've been working on it for a long time now. We're very happy how it's coming along. Captain America 3 is gonna be called Captain America: Civil War and it's going to star Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson will be back, Winter Soldier will be back, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man will also be joining us in the next film."

Johansson has previously appeared as Black Widow in Iron Man 2, The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She will also star in the upcoming Avengers sequel Age of Ultron.

Shows you should watch (but probably aren't)

Civil War will feature the titular hero (Evans) facing off against Iron Man (Downey Jr.). Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Black Panther (Chadwic Boseman) and Crossbones (Frank Grillo) will also be forced to take sides in the epic war, which will feature the Marvel debut of Daniel Bruhl in an unknown role.

Captain America: Civil War will open May 6, 2016.
