If you're in the mood to get all up in your feelings, watch the emotional trailer for Orange Is the New Black's seventh and final season, which dropped Wednesday. The ladies of Litchfield Penitentiary have come a long way since Season 1, but as the preview suggests, most of them are still fighting with their backs against the wall.

Among those struggling to get by is Piper (Taylor Schilling), who, after being released from prison, will come to find that assimilating back into regular society is easier said than done. Things are especially difficult with her beau, Alex (Laura Prepon), still facing another few years behind bars. Meanwhile, Taystee (Danielle Brooks) must come to terms with the fact that not only will she likely spend the rest of her life in maximum security for a crime that she did not commit (she was found guilty of murdering Piscatella last season), her friend Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore) is the one who sold her out for early release.

While you can expect plenty of drama as the series winds down, it looks like the final episodes will also be infused with the searing dark humor that has come to define the series through comedic fan favorites Suzanne (Uzo Aduba) and Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning). However, those funny moments don't obfuscate the glaring reality that not everyone will receive a happy ending when it's all said and done.

"I know how [my character's arc is] going to end and it's sad," Kate Mulgrew previously teased to TV Guide of Red's potential ending. "But of course, given [series creator] Jenji Kohan's proclivity for the truth and for what she considers to be a considerate reflection of what happens in prison, it's authentic. It's hard. It's what happens to women of my type, age, and disposition under these circumstances."

Orange Is the New Black's seventh and final season heads to Netflix on Friday, July 26. In the meantime, check out the official poster below.
