Joel McHale is getting back to talking!

The Community star will get his own weekly talk show for Netflix, McHale announced via social media today. The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale (nice) will combine celebrity guests, pre-taped sketches and "insane video clips" in a half-hour series that will focus on pop culture and news from around the world. It will make its debut on Feb. 18.

If the whole setup sounds a bit familiar, it's because McHale hosted the similar series The Soup on E! for more than 600 episodes from 2004 to 2015. McHale went on to star in NBC's cult comedy Community as Jeff Winger, and also starred The X-Files and CBS' The Great Indoors.

For Netflix, it's another shot at a talk show. Given Netflix specializes in on-demand programming, it's been hard to imagine how a topical talk show -- which is tied to recent events and has a built-in expiration date -- could live on the streaming service. Netflix tried it with Chelsea Handler's Chelsea, which lasted two seasons before getting canceled, but it's far from abandoning the genre. It's now trying a general interview monthly show with David Letterman's My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, an after show with Beyond Stranger Things and an educational talk show with Bill Nye Saves the World.

The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale begins Feb. 18 on Netflix.
