Joel (Sam Jaeger)-and-Julia (Erika Christensen) fans already got their happy ending on last week's episode of Parenthood, but that doesn't mean it will all be smooth sailing for the Bravermans.

Check out all this week's Mega Buzz items!

The series finale, which airs Jan. 29, incorporates a Six Feet Under-style flash-forward, Christensen tells TVGuide.com. "I think it will be really satisfying and interesting, because it covers a lot of ground," she hints. "We go through three years, I think, of some more family developments. ... A lot can happen."

"The last scene that we all shot together as a family was brutal," Christensen admits. "Thankfully we didn't have a whole lot of talking to do, because we were bawling. ... Everyone was a mess, and we weren't done shooting. So there's even a shot that you might be able to catch some people crying."

Parenthood's Erika Christensen on Joel and Julia's reunion: "Chris never had a chance"

One cast member, who shall remain nameless, started the chain reaction of tears, according to Christensen. "It was okay at first, and we were just kind of like, 'Okay, we're having a good time," she recalls. "And then one person started crying, and it just spread. I hate to call him out. I'll just say this - it was a boy, in the youngest generation of the cast, who started crying, and then everyone started crying, including the crew."

Parenthood airs Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC. How would you like to see the series sign off?
