Married at First Sight's Jessica Castro Is "Terrified For Her Life" After Ugly Divorce

In a not-all-that-surprising turn of events, Married at First Sight's Jessica Castro and Ryan De Nino have not gotten their happily ever after. Though what's more interesting is that their divorce has led Castro to file a restraining order against her husband.

The two met for the first time at the altar on A&E's social-experiement reality show, where couples are paired by a team of experts. But in the wake of their recent divorce, Castro's attorney Marc Rapaport tells Peoplethat she is now "terrified for her life."

Her petition alleges that "there were two threats by Ryan to kill her. One of those threats was captured on a live microphone on the set while there was a filming of Married at First Sight," says Rapaport, confirming that the show offered Castro a security detail after taping the show's reunion.

De Nino told Castro, "I will break you into f---ing pieces, I will break your dad into pieces. I will make your whole family disappear - and your f---ing dog-a--sister's boyfriend," according to the New York Post, which obtained a copy of the sealed petition.

Right now, Rapaport says, the focus is on keeping Castro and her family safe. The temporary restraining order is in effect untilJuly 13, when the Queens County Family Court is expected to hold a hearing on extending the order.

While Married at First Sight's production company Kinetic Content had no further comment, they told People Monday in a statement: "We don't know all the details and can't comment on the specifics. What we can say is that, unfortunately, couples on the show can go through real divorces, and divorce can often be difficult."
