MLB Houston Astros

After winning the World Series in 2022, the Houston Astros had a solid playoff run in 2023. The team eventually fell to the eventual World Series Champ Texas Rangers, but they're looking forward to another great showing in 2024. Much of the roster is returning this year, and if you're excited about the prospect of the team returning to the World Series, you'll want to know how to watch Houston Astros games all season long.

The Astros bounce around from network to network, and unless you know where to look, you could easily miss out on a key matchup. Typically, you'll find the Astros broadcast on ESPN, FOX, FS1, TBS, or AT&T SportsNet Southwest. Opening Day will kick things off on March 28, with the Astros facing off against the Yankees on AT&T SportsNet Southwest—but after that, you'll need to know exactly where to stream Houston Astros games if you want to tune into all the action.

From DIRECTV STREAM and Apple TV+ to Fubo and Hulu, here's a look at how to watch Houston Astros games, including where you'll find Houston Astros live streams and how to watch Astros baseball without cable. Keep in mind that exact times and broadcasts are bound to change throughout the season, but the below services should always remain great options for tuning into games.

How to watch Houston Astros on DIRECTV STREAM

It's a bit expensive at $109 per month, but the DIRECTV STREAM Choice Plan gets you access to FS1, FOX, ESPN, TBS, and AT&T SportsNet Southwest. That's pretty much every channel needed to watch every Astros game in 2024, making it the best choice for dedicated fans. If you don't mind missing out on AT&T SportsNet Southwest, you can get the Entertainment Plan for $80 per month. Both the Choice and Entertainment Plans also get you access to 70+ other networks and an ever-growing library of on-demand content.

How to watch Houston Astros on Fubo

With the Fubo Pro Plan ($80 per month), you'll get AT&T SportsNet Southwest, FOX, FS1, and ESPN. For out-of-market Astros games and streams for all other teams, you can bundle in MLB.TV for $30 per month. You should also consider the Sports Lite add-on for $10 per month to gain access to MLB Network programming. One of the big perks of Fubo is that you can stream on unlimited screens simultaneously, making it great for big families. It also benefits from a DVR with 1,000 hours of storage and a seven-day free trial.

How to watch Houston Astros on Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV costs $77 per month, and it also includes bonus memberships to ESPN+ and Disney+. For Astros fans, you can look forward to broadcasts on FOX, FS1, TBS, and ESPN. To gain additional sports channels, you can bundle in the Sports Add-On for $10 per month. If you record games or other programs, you'll be glad to know that Hulu gives you unlimited DVR storage. You can also stream on two devices at once, which isn't quite as enticing as Fubo's unlimited screens, but it's a nice addition nonetheless.

How to watch Houston Astros on Sling TV

Sling TV is the cheapest live TV streaming option on this list. The Sling Orange + Sling Blue Plan costs $60 per month and gets you FS1 and ESPN. To save a few bucks, you'll find standalone Sling Orange and Sling Blue Plans for $40 per month. The former gets you ESPN, while the latter gets you FS1. You'll also get local channels like FOX with either Sling Blue or Orange if you live in a qualifying area

How to watch Houston Astros on Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV+

You won't find all the Astros games on Apple TV+, but you will find a few primetime matchups. Apple TV+ members will get access to various Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders throughout 2024, most of which are marquee matchups. This includes the Yankees at Astros on March 29, Astros at Rangers on April 5, and Astros at Mets on June 28. Apple TV+ costs $10 per month. If you're on the fence about the service, be sure to check out its free seven-day trial.

How to watch Houston Astros on MLB.TV (out of market games)

If you're beyond the Astros TV market, you can watch out-of-market matchups with an MLB.TV membership. A Single Team Pass costs $130 for the season, and in the case of the Astros, this will let you watch all out-of-market broadcasts that aren't exclusive to a streaming service. For even more baseball, you'll find the All Team Pass for $30 per month, which gets you all out-of-market broadcasts for all teams in the MLB. Along with live games, MLB.TV offers additional baseball programming and roundups to catch you up on the latest highlights.

How to watch Houston Astros anywhere with a VPN

Since the majority of Astros games won't be viewable outside the country, picking up a VPN is a great option for folks traveling or for international Astros fans. Services like ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access allow you to spoof your location, giving you access to games only broadcast in the US. You may also be able to use a VPN to get regional games. ExpressVPN is currently running a 49% discount for its yearly subscription, while Private Internet Access is just $2 per month.
