Twitter Had Strong Opinions About the Charmed Premiere

See what everyone had to say!

Ever since it was announced that the CW would be rebooting Charmed, longtime fans of the original series starring Shannen Doherty Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and later Rose McGowan expressed overwhelmingly negative opinions of the upcoming show. For starters, this new iteration had no involvement from the OG Halliwell sisters, something that irked both fans and the show's originals stars. Plus, the reboot was touted as a "feminist" update, something that didn't sit well with Combs (who's been pretty vocal about her feelings on the project) and fans who took that as yet another dig at the source material. So it's safe to say, things we not off to a great start for the new Power of Three.

The new series stars Melonie Diaz and Sarah Jeffery as grieving sisters who meet their long-lost half-sister Madeleine Mantock following their mother's mysterious death and learn that they are witches. Sunday night's anticipated premiere gave naysayers and curious fans alike an opportunity to see for themselves what this new show was all about and as expected, they didn't hold back. While some expressed disappointment with major changes like getting rid of the Whitelighter's signature white orbs, others felt the show was off to a decent start.
