ABC is eyeing a potential new Muppet series from The Big Bang Theory co-creator Bill Prady and Bob Kushell, Deadline reports.

According to sources, the show would be set behind the scenes of a late-night talk show. (We can already imagine Statler and Waldorf as the outspoken audience members).

This wouldn't be Prady's first time working with the beloved puppet gang. He started his career at Jim Henson Productions and wrote for several Muppet projects, including Muppet Classic Theater, Jim Henson Hour, Fraggle Rock and a 3-D Muppet Movie for Disney World.

If ABC moves forward with the show, it would be the third Muppet series, following The Muppet Show, which ran from 1976-1981, and the short-lived Muppets Tonight in 1996,
