Michael McKean has joined AMC's upcoming Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul, Deadline.com reports.
Starring Breaking Bad alums Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks, Better Call Saul centers on Odenkirk's unflappable attorney Saul Goodman, before he came to represent Walter White. Banks will reprise his role as private investigator/fixer Mike Ehrmantraut.
25 totally unnecessary spin-offs
McKean will play a new character named Dr. Thurber, a brilliant attorney who is now "restricted by an unusual affliction." What could it be?
McKean is best known for his roles on Laverne & Shirley, Saturday Night Live and This Is Spinal Tap. He most recently appeared on the short-lived HBO comedy Family Tree.
Better Call Saul is slated to premiere in November on AMC. Relive the glory of Breaking Bad by watching past episodes here.
